Bedroom Eye Candy of the Decor kind

I have been in full-on nesting mode lately. I am determined to bring some much needed charm into some seriously neglected parts of my home, i.e my bedroom. Wow, how boring is my bedroom?! It’s too ugly to even show a before picture, so I’ll save the pictures for the reveal when it’s finally done.

I did manage to accomplish a few projects in that room this weekend.  I spent my birthday (yesterday) making my very large headboard and moving my bed around.  It was my birthday to do with as I pleased, and I pleased to remake my room (well, after the cake, birthday song, breakfast in bed and smooches from friends and family was over that is.) Since the Mister refuses to downgrade from a King size, we had no choice but to relocate the bed if we want to have side tables and such.

I went onto one of my favorite blogs only to be told that (Gasp!) the duvet is now becoming a thing of the past! WTH??? Just when I was all ready to get in on the duvet action! Oh well, trend, schmend… I do as I please, so if it’s a duvet I please, a duvet I shall have.

In the meantime, I couldn’t resist. Feast your eyes on these gorgeous bedrooms from Houzz.

I so understand this post. My bedroom needs a complete makeover. My whole house is a work-in-progress, but that one room is the room that I’ve never had a clear picture of what I want it to look like. It’s very bare – a bed, dresser, bare walls, no curtains, taupe walls, wood floor, no decor. Kind of depressing since that’s not my style. No way. So I’m currently on a quest to find out what I need to do in there to truly make it my space.

I look forward to seeing how you makeover your space. 🙂
